A worldwide flu pandemic has struck planet Earth. Spreading rapidly, the flu causes the body to attack itself, destroying the immune system. Some people die within days, some within hours. By the end, the European Flu has wiped out 90% of the world's population.

The survivors are the lucky ones.

If you can call them that.

The world's infrastructure has collapsed. Electricity, heat, running water, the basic necessities of present day are gone. Mobile phones are a thing of the past. Cars lay in the middle of the roads, their owners long since dead or abandoned. Bodies are piled in the hospitals, many still sitting in the waiting rooms for doctors they will never see. Houses are abandoned and fly infested. The president is dead. The prime minster is dead. Parliament, Senate, Congress, government has ceased to exist. Economy has disappeared, money is worthless. The cities aren't safe anymore. Typhoid, cholera, all the diseases that come from unburied bodies. The old world has been ripped away, there is nothing left.

You are a survivor. How you survive is up to you.

Welcome to the aftermath.

"When was the last time you did anything truly practical? Like milked a cow or slaughtered a pig, or you know, grew a vegetable. I mean, do you know what mushrooms are okay to eat and which ones will kill you? Because that's the kind of knowledge you're going to need now. We're going to have to start all over again, relearn the skills we've forgotten." Terry Nation's Survivors
